Term limits and better informed voters. Look at Maxine Waters’ district. She lives in a mansion outside the mostly impoverished district that she has represented for 25 years now. Yet the idiots there keep re-electing her time and time again no matter how many times she has been rated as one of the most corrupt members of Congress (some times the most). Now she is even a big hero to liberals nationwide. Term limits would get rid of some one like that. Getting rid of political parties would help people actually research candidates instead of voting for them just because they have a D or an R next to their name.

Term limits could certainly be imposed on congress despite their unwillingness to enact such a law. The remedy os a Convention of States where the U.S. Constitution is amended, with such a provision. This is the proper constitutional remedy.

Ummm...we are referring to term limits. The same restriction placed on the President. We need to get all of these corrupt career politicians out of congress (some who have been there longer than Stalin was dictator of the Soviet Union and replaced with some new blood or things are never going to get better.
