What if one finds a meme annoying and therefore doesn't want to upvote it, but rather wishes to comment on the futility of said meme? Is an upvote still required to avoid punishment?

I was scrolling through the submissions, saw this one and decided to jump in. Not only are you getting an up vote, but everyone in the thread is too. That's how I roll. It's just good meme etiquette. Once in a while Spiritual Fox would do that shit to me. I called him on it too. I told him to stay off my submissions until he learned how to use the up vote button...more than once.
