Just because we celebrate Jesus's birth on the 25 doesn't mean we think that's his birthday. It's like celebrating a friend's party a week or two before his or her actual birthday.

Bit like shooting and arrow at a tree then walking down a painting a target round it

That's more of a scenario where you know you were wrong but try to paint it as right.

25th is used to cover the solstice

Kind of, but if that was true, why wouldn't it be exactly on the solstice?

More than one festival took place at that time. Some more than one day. Same as Easter

When abrahamic religion to over any other religion just got put under the pagan label. Solstice the start of a new year. Halfway through winter and our food has lasted. Harvest festival. We’ve gathered our food. Let’s hope we have enough to survive winter. Spring and we made it sow the seed and fertility. It was about living the seasons.

How entertaining g to read all these replies. I'm more of a give me the facts guys so hear they are.

Fact 1) No date is ever given about the birth of Jesus in the Bible
Fact 2) not only is no date given, never anywhere in the Bible, are we instructed to celebrate his birth.
Fact 3) if you look up origins of birthday celebrations you will find that they are pagan in origin
Fact 4) never in the bible does it mention any servant of God having celebrated a birthday.
