So here's the basic plotline, stick to it, and I'll be happy:
The main character is a 14 year old girl called Alexa. She's very tall for her age- about 190 cm. She isn't skinny, but not too fat either. (This kind of body shape is chosen purely because it's easier to survive in a post-apocalyptic world with it, nothing to do with looks.) She has very long, blonde hair- it goes down to her knees.
Alexa is part of an apocalypse survivors group called Team Charlie.
Team Charlie is made up of three other people- 'Charlie Slaughterhouse', 'Sir Lewis', and another female character which I have not decided on yet.
Sir Lewis is very tall (about 7 foot) and has brown, curly hair that covers his ears. He also wears a steel-rimmed top hat.
Charlie is about as tall as Alexa, and has blonde hair that also covers his ears.
60 Seconds before the initial blast of the nuclear bomb, Alexa holds a Team Charlie meeting in Alexa's fallout shelter.
At the time of the initial blast, Team Charlie is in the fallout shelter, and everyone survived.
20 days after the initial blast, Charlie goes scavenging in the radioactive wasteland, and finds a huge stash of vodka in the remains of what seemed to be a liquor store. (Drinking vodka protects you from radiation sickness.)
Team Charlie makes friends with a group of people with physical mutations (as a result of radiation sickness) and trade supplies with the leader of the group, Dave, who has four arms.
Bandits attack Team Charlie, and Team Charlie defend themselves.
Team Charlie attacks the bandits, and steal most of their supplies.
Alexa loses her sanity.
Alexa disappears.
Whilst scavenging, Team Charlie find Alexa, badly injured. Alexa insists she's fine, but she nearly dies.
Alexa gets mild radiation sickness.
Alexa recovers, but her hair becomes completely white.
Team Charlie get rescued.
