You're darn right. Fighting a war for the freedoms of others that we take for granted and then coming home to be told that you are the aggressor is heart breaking. The stories my JROTC instructors told me of how they were treated when they came back made me sick.
War is horrible, yes, but only because it takes extreme measures to extinguish evil.

But I can’t say enough about the ones who served and tried to stop the spread of communism.

So much evil in this world.

In a way, the way they were treated, it made us realize how important our military is. Their suffering led to a new found respect. Which they all deserve for any time of service. God bless the troops.

Thanks my father got spit on by a hippie when he finally got home at the airport. Luckily after pops beat that guys ass the cops that showed up were also Vets ;)

Yeah, I think they were the only service members/veterans who were treated that way. Glad that guy got his ass beat!!

Our country learned a lot from those mistakes, now people support our soldiers even if they disagree with the war. That was the first war people had a problem with in our country, unfortunately they focused that anger on the wrong people. I'm just glad something good came out of it in the long run, just one more sacrifice those soldiers ended up making for the good of our country!

Thanks, we sure do and have all my life. I have a 30/30 Winchester that 3 generations so far have gotten their first deer with. My son is only 6 but we are working on making it 4 generations eventually, he definitely isn't squeamish about it already :) Good talking to ya!
