My wife and I are gun owners as per our constitutional right and we are reasonable enough to admit some weapons have no business being available to the public, and don't even get me started on how incredibly easy it is to purchase guns in our state.

Well that is not the experience of other countries, mass shooting at a school in the UK over 20 years ago, tough gun laws passed. Result, no mass shootings since. Mass shooting in a school in Australia 20 years ago, tough guns laws passed. Result, no mass shootings since.
