It’s not that they have opinions, it’s their sense of elitism and condescension that stems from their celebrity status. They seem to think their fame entitles them to some kind of moral authority. Not all late night comedians are created equal either. I can’t imagine myself reacting the same if Johnny Carson was the one giving his opinion. But I think that’s just it. These comedians nowadays don’t seem to give “opinions” it’s more like they are delivering sermons, concluded with an edict from on high. And when they’re finished, all I can think is... what a joke.
