That's H.K. Edgerton. He was once the NC President of the NAACP. He started studying non revisionist history and discovered he had family who fought for the Confederacy and started speaking the truth so they kicked him out. I've met him several times. Have a couple pics with him. He goes around the country dressed as a Confederate soldier, carrying his flag, and trying to educate people.

Love the meme. It's ironic.

But....

MYTH - Only the North had men of color in their ranks.
FACT - Quite simply a major falsehood of history. Many blacks, both free and of their own will, joined the Confederate Army to fight for their beloved Southern home. Additionally, men of other ethnic extraction fought as well. Oriental, Mexican & Spanish men as well as Native American Indians fought with pride for the South.
Today, many men of color are members in the heritage group SCV - Sons Of Confederate Veterans. These men of color and pride rejoice in their heritage. The continued attacks on the Southern Nation, The Confederacy, and her symbols are a terrible outrage to these fine people. These attacks should be denounced with as much fervor as those who denounce the South.

And even Lee said if I am not mistaken , "I rather fight along side the Black man than any other" While in the North they out right refused to fight along side them and the Northern Generals had to threaten to kill their own men to get them to fight with them.

REAL AMERICAN | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
Yep. The winner of the war always writes the history though don't they. The Confederate states were pretty misunderstood and it's kind of sad that today's textbooks Teach an alternate reality to what really happened and why

Did you know Ulysses Grant freed his slaves before general Lee? Lee actually had hi a slaves serving him during the war.
The civil war was not fought over slavery because at the time the north still had slaves. Also Lincoln wanted to send the negros to central American jungles. He did not want them living here. Also the north didn't free their slaves until the emcipation proclamation.

You are spot on. Here is a link to the famous letter to Horace Greely from which this quote is taken. Lincoln made it clear he would use the slaves to advance his purpose whether that meant freeing all, none, or only some of them.

So glad to see another lady who knows the truth and isn't afraid to speak it ( or meme it ).
The real reason the civil war was fought is no different then any other war...... Money. In this instance tax money.
7 ups, 7y
Exactly. It's always the money. Nice to meet you.

Maybe the were fighting for their lives as opposed for the south? Funny how ideals and religion "start" wars but its the ones whose benefit die for it.

Well, Ray Charles is "something". Being blind isn't his biggest problem at the moment, but it's ALSO why he didn't see what was done there. (I *know* it's Steve Wonder.)

I'm sorry but "You gay?" just didn't work nearly as well in the context. And I'm fairly certain the question wasn't asked and statistical probability points toward the guy being straight. :D
