I'm not sure where that photo was taken, but I think it's a safe be that it was somewhere in the middle-east. Feel free to correct me if that is wrong. In any case, it wasn't in the United States or any of it's territories. That being the case, it seems to me to be wholly irrelevant.
I will nevertheless concede your point. Yes, there are governments in the world that make a regular habit of oppressing their people, murdering them en masse, and committing all manner of atrocities and they get away with it because they are the masters of those places. And it's a damn tragedy, and I'd love to be able to do something about it. Do you have any suggestions? Because we've tried military force, direct diplomacy, and economic coercion, and none of them exactly has a great track record of success.
