Intelligent Design cannot be tested scientifically, and is therefore not science. It is a self-identified faith-based belief system.
Evolution CAN be tested scientifically, and therefore IS science. The dirty little secret is that it has been long ago disproven, unless you believe in the magical, mythical miracle of speciation. This makes it also a faith-based belief system.
Faith-based belief systems should not be taught in publicly-subsidized compulsory educational institutions, and they certainly should not be passed off as "accepted fact".
