The protestors in Durham never attacked any citizens, we just tore down a monument that didn't represent us.

It really comes down to we are either a nation of laws or a nation of lawlessness. The easy way to judge these moral issues is keep the circumstance but change the players, then it becomes obvious everyone responsible for the statute was not only morally wrong but committed a criminal act and should be punished.

Consider this, if a person decorated their mailbox to honor their favorite sports team. People drinking down the road liked a different team so they took a large truck and a rope and tore down the mailbox leaving the owner with tire ruts, a large hole and an expensive repair bill, no judge or july would care that they were offended by the mailbox. They could and should be charged as trespassers, destruction of private property and a slew of lesser charges, each could easily serve time.

This is an easy one for me, if I were on the jury, those people would go to jail, no question, my opinion of the statute would not even be considered, they destroyed something belonging to someone else that they didn’t like without even trying to use legal means to handle the situation.

The person who was made into the torn down monument was a symbol of the Confederacy, something much larger than a sports team. I don't think anyone with a moral decency would tear someone's property down over a sports team, whereas people with the moral decency would find it really disturbing to be reminded that their hometown is on the land where slaves were held.

You might be pro crime, I am not. The people responsible should be in jail. They should have used a legal option.

The legal option didn't really exist. If they did choose the political route, the statue wouldn't have been removed as a result of being on state ground, which is ruled by Republicans (hence their outrage).
Back to the original meme, these "terrorists" didn't attack civilians, they attacked a monument. In fact, most of them were civilians of my home city, if not then probably Raleigh or Chapel Hill or Charlotte.

Democrats had control for the last eight years, your attempt to justify a criminal act is based only on your opinion not the law or any since of justice. I don't think we will find common ground on this. It doesn't matter of property or personnel were attacked, the act of violence was the same. I am outraged at the porn store I pass on my way to work (lowers property values) but I don't attack it, I drive the other way and avoid it.
