I did 20 years in uniform and ten more as a contractor, almost all of it in SOF, I have seen conflicts in places you couldn't find on a map. I have been in over 30 countries and by far the best place I have found to live is the American south. People here help each other can build and repair anything, we don't require save spaces or government handouts. If you think that people shouldn't have pride in themselves and their homes then you are a rare bird a real fool. America is a melting pot, one that includes southerners. Get your head out your forth point of contact and see the south for what it is not what it was. BTW, if you really think America is so tough you must love the Afghans, they have been kicking our ass since the 80's.

We won the Afgan War in 2 weeks. Sticking around to rebuild a place that no one has been able to civilize since the Persian Empire on has proven just as fruitless as it has been for the last 2600 years.

The South is an economic drain on the USA. Only 5 States pay the Federal Gov more in taxes than they get back. None of them ever had that flag waving over them.

I have had the pleasure of watching the life drain from my share of afghans, if you think it is over then you are a bigger fool than I previously thought. We still have troops in both iraq and afghanistan, obola didn’t end anything, he just made things a bigger mess. So far trump hasn’t help change a thing either, the war spins along. When yankees stop working two jobs their entire lives just to retire down south we can discuss the economics that you pretend to understand. If you had actually studied the civil war and mass migration of social groups you would already know that very few of today's southerners even had family in the United States during the civil war but somehow I doubt that would end your cultural racism or your bias against people that welcome strangers as family. If they have a fault at all it is trust. I wasn’t born here, I chose them after traveling the planet. Why don’t you admit that your real problem with the south is their independence, since of self worth and ability to do more with less than most cultures. I can understand why the entitled generation fear them.

You advocate resistance, violence and lawlessness against the legally elected president, call for the destruction of private, state and federal property, show nothing but prejudice and bias against white Christian southerners, which btw ignores their role in running the underground railroad, refusing to let the KKK speak for them, organized and getting voting rights for blacks years before any northern state and have been the backbone of the democrats for well over 100 years. You see whites as racists but give a free ride to the Indians and blacks that owned slaves. You could care less that Africans still own slaves in Africa today. You think advocating for change online helps when you could be actually helping.
