It is all the transfer payments and other social justice programs that are found to be usually unnecessary. Moreover, Democrats are just as guilty for corporate welfare as Republicans. Washington politicians on both sides have been playing this game since the mid-1930's when the rise of career politicians became a major trend. Remember, the more a government can control the economy, the more corporations will attempt to influence the government for their selfish self interest. The less the government is involved with, the less people seek to influence government in a corrupt manner.
