It's overcast right now in San Diego lol, but this Friday, it was about 100 degrees inland. Good thing I live only two miles from the coast!

What part of San Diego were you in? It was 106 where I was in Temecula (Riverside County) and about 78 degrees in Carlsbad.

However, I wouldn't call Miramar part of North County. North County basically is anything north of the 5/805 interchange between Del Mar and Oceanside.

Lol. My daughter is out there, she loves going to Zuma Beach in Malibu, the wife was born and raised in Simi Valley, she lived in Venice Beach in the 80's, she also lived in her step brothers friends' guest house in Malibu. His parents bought a 2-3 acre house with guesthouse 2 doors down from Johnny Carson's house for $42,000 in 1962! And they still have it! I'm form Atlanta so the first time in California was an eye opener! (weather wise!). You have 3 forecasts, one for the desert, one for the Valley(s) and one for the Coast, which blew my mind at first, but made absolute sense when I thought about it! Her mom live in Vista, and we stayed at a hotel on the shore in Oceanside, the weather there couldn't be more perfect! Sunny and in the 70's in the middle of the summer! The low humidity though gives me a headache and messes with my sinuses. In Georgia, especially in summer, it's typically between 95-107 degrees with 90%+ humidity, I'm so used to that so when I go out west I get headaches all the time, regardless of how much water I drink, but I do like it out there and can't wait to go again, I'm dying for a Double Double Animal Style some of those fries and a drink! :)

I'm sort of near Venice. I've only lived out of state for one year, then came back before my family to go to boarding school. I Have lived in several different places both North and South. And I kind of look at it this way, I'll take earthquakes over hurricanes or tornados any day. Sorry to hear your head doesn't like our climate, but don't feel bad I get hay fever in the fall. Although I don't understand how you can like humidity, when I lived out of state humidity and mounds of snow were what I came to dislike the most. And I'm sure what you're dying to eat will be available the next time you come. :)

I grew upon Pittsburgh, I hate the snow and the gloom that goes with it! I had a tree services company and I loved chasing hurricanes! It was fun and exciting, we always helped out seniors, churches and really anyone who maybe needed some help. Went to Houston/Galviston Island in 2004?? Or so, we were there for about 3-4 months, just 7 guys and our equipment. Gross sales were $795,000, me, being the owner and the guy who put out the money to get there, bought the food, paid the guys, up front remember, I walked away with almost $400k, in cash, in a brief case! But I will tell you this, we did at least $200k of work for free, not only because it felt good, because it's the right thing to do! You have to make the world a better place! You know, I've never been in a earthquake, I am kinda curious to what it would feel like, my wife lived out there from 1966(birth) to 2008, so she's been through a few. She said the Northridge quake was the strongest, she said that it was a up-and-down and a side to side motion to it. It literally threw her out of bed. She said they're mostly one or the other, that one was both which really caught her off guard. I've been watching the news, first y'all almost drowned to death this winter and now the fires have begun, now that's some scary shit! :)

Suburb of Chicago for me, only I year like I said, but I found cold weather and shoveling snow was not the thing for me. As well as people from that area at that time did not think to much of people from California.
My family lives and owns property out in the Santa Clarita area, as well as the Palm Springs area, and I live at the beach. But for me after growing up in Thousand Oaks, the valley, I knew I wanted to live at the beach.
I also completely understand your business values, coming from a business family. But myself think that the good you try to do for others is actually worth more and speaks volumes about your character.
I too was here for the '94 earthquake on the third floor of a building built in 1914, and was woken up being tossed from side to side on my bed. Although Simi is closer to Northridge than I am. Although there was quite a bit of damage out here too.
And about drowning last winter I do believe the pacific ocean is warming again, so we may be in for another winter of drowning this year. And fires I think I'm a little desensitized to due to my grandfather and uncle being in the fire department. :)

Ah, yes, true! I don't particularly remember KTLA having that in their forecasts, but honestly I could of totally dismissed it because I wasn't going there. I've never been out to the Sierra Nevadas, I really would love to go sometime! I'd like to try panning for gold, just to do it, something that I've always wanted to do! :)

I have a concert tomorrow night, a barbeque at a friend's on Friday, and a NXT wrestling match on Saturday. In between it's trying to get my mum's new pup to behave and maybe some drinking here and there. Where the hell you get that photo from above? By the taps it must be someplace here in town.

Honestly, I just Googled "Craft Beer" and that was one of the images, now I actually looked for a pic that had a mostly West Coast beer selection, it's completely possible that it's from Portland! There's probably a 70% chance that it is....... :)

They're a sludgy doom metal band from Baton Rouge. Ghost COULD be playing Portland tomorrow night, lord knows they're here a lot. The blading guy with the glasses will be the expression I'll be wearing when the band is playing. ;P

I looked up 'craft beer' on Images as well as I was intrigued. That photo is from The Yard House, one of the few taprooms I haven't been in in town. Tried to get in three or four years ago with a friend but we were too early, and considering it's on the bottom level of a downtown mall and the servers had uniforms, we had no reason to try again.

I never intentionally moshed, I just happened to end up in some pits. The '90s would've been about the right time. I went to a Sugar concert (Bob Mould, ex-Husker Du) and my eyeglasses I was wearing at the time flew off into the moshers. I didn't even bother looking for them figuring they'd be crushed. And after that I haven't needed glasses since. Cured by the power of music! Last time I even saw a mosh pit was at a Full of Hell concert about a year-and-a-half ago, and there weren't really enough moshers to qualify as a pit. :P

No refills until about 7:00 PM tonight. Get the neighborhood the show is at, go to the B-Side and have a shot and a beer, maybe two, then go to the show. Hoping to meet a friend there but apparently his intestines are turning to mush at his work as we speak...
