Have you seen the DVD extras for Batman Vs. Superman? In one, the costume designer says he based hers on gladiator armor. I said to myself, "That man's a Genius!" I've always been disappointed that she wasn't more warrior-like (she's supposed to be a flippin' AMAZON!), and this version fit the bill for me.
They also went back to her very first origin story, MAJORLY boosting their creds IMO.
But they also incorporated some elements from the TV show, just enough to make the kid in me (who watched the show religiously) giggle.
To top it all off, it ran the whole gamut of movie genres: comedy, romance, action, buddy-film, tear-jerker, mystery... The only one it didn't have was horror. Everything was tastefully done, too. There were scenes that could have been overdone, but they weren't.
I tried to avoid spoilers, and I apologize if I failed. Seriously, though, Wonder Woman has taken the top slot on my list of favorite super-hero movies.
