With a smaller government a wall would be possible, but still not practical. With the technology we have now a virtual wall would be better. Drones, ground sensors and boots on the ground. Also give our personel more power when it comes to detainment and deportation. The war on drugs is a waste of time, I agree. But securing our country's borders was and is our governments first priority.

They can dig tunnels under it, they can fly over it, they can use a boat to get around it. It's a huge waste of time. Republicans have controlled border states forever and they haven't built a huge wall with their funds. Republicans make money off of illegal immigrants being paid slave labor wages at their companies and the war on drugs is another huge fraud.

Also don't agree with the extreme liberal logic of "let's just let everyone in and give them benefits while screwing over out own". That won't work either. The best thing we can do is get rid of our policies of the "war on drugs" and taking natural resources from those countries while implementing an easy work permit system for immigrants who aren't blatant criminals.

I think it's funny that Ronald Regan granted more than three million illegal immigrants amnesty. It seems kinda ironic today.

I can dig what you say, but crap, we spend upward to 293 billion per year on supporting illegals. A one time fee of 14 billion shouldn't be such a big deal IMO. We'll plus a few million per year for upkeep, probably.

The fly to Canada theory is hard to prove. The ones that do come through Canada are typically people who come here through visas, but over stay their visas. Not out right illegal, like you'd like us to think. Fact is most "illegal"aliens come through the southern border.
