Sometimes it's as innocent as clicking on an advertisement on your phone. And if you have your phone connected to you email both devices can get infected with a fishing virus.

Doesn't matter if you have kids or not. Even adults fall victim to scammers. My parents are in their 80s and they had a tax refund ripped off a couple of years ago... And they don't even own a computer.

Things like these that happen to people make me so angry. I hope your parents got their money back! :-)

I suppose they could apply for their own and the parents wouldn't even know.
