The problem isn't mining and drilling, its mining and drilling unsafely, leaving a huge shit hole of a mess, and destroying the natural beauty when they COULD do it cleaner. They never seem to be able to clean up after themselves. And of course all the nasty chemicals they pump into the water table for fracking. dumping coal mine waste in the rivers and lakes, spewing toxic gases they could be collecting instead. But that might cut into their record profits year after year, and they might have to employ a few extra people. Why, the execs might have to suffer with a 2 million dollar bonus instead of a 20 million dollar bonus!
