I once belonged to a church that was being controlled by an evil, s**tty secretary who may or may not have been sleeping with the pastor. If anyone complained about her, they were passive-aggresively shamed in sermons and on Facebook. She was downright evil but was always in the front row, shouting the loudest, waving her arms the highest, and was always proclaiming how Christian she was. It's scary to think that there are people like that who claim to be Christians but who do evil at every turn.

Remind them of "The Pharisee And The Publican" parable. Shuts 'em up real quick-like :-)

To be a follower, one must follow, It takes conscientious work on our own part. It's easiest to do when you can put down temptation of any kind.

Actually, that is what being a Christian is about. It's a relationship with Christ and not an actual religion. Christ tells us to be like Him and not like man.
