Want to see me - completely inadvertently - start an argument? "That's not a football, it's a soccer ball." There, I said it. The haters may begin.

For me, as German it is very often hard to find the right words. Biggest problem: false friends - i.e. Fuß + Ball [foot + ball] = Fußball [football] EXCEPT in America: there it is called "soccer"

So I'm very thankful about everyone who corrects me. As long as it was in a nice or creative manner (like your comment ^^).

I very much appreciate your approach. Just having a bit of fun. Actually, happens I've been struggling to learn German on my own for some time (as a child, my grandmother tried to teach me, but of course I was more interested in playing outside) - and I can now create a "perfectly " good German sentence which makes sense in my head, but is actually gibberish. Aber das kann Ich nicht Helfen- or something like that.
