Sic'em, Cujo!!

I am starting to seriously think about getting a seeing eye dog...
I want an Australian shepherd guide dog.
I think they are the absolute best dogs ever!!!!!
Super smart, gentle, loyal, ... totally awesome breed!
I had one when I was growing up and it was the best dog EVER!!

I've never had a smarter dog, more loyal, more eager to please me. And this is the first dog who has never run away. No fence climbing, to tunneling, nothing. The only drawback? He sheds to beat hell. All year long. We find his fur on the CATS!

You had an Australian shepherd also?

Mine had longer fur and it would get everywhere.

And last... in the words of lucy... YUCK! Dog drool!!

My Australian shepherd didn't seem to drool too much... hopefullythat is common in the breed.

Mine is mixed Queensland and Aussie. (I don't know the percentages.) They are smart enough to be a guide or service dog. Good luck.

I am not sure what a Queensland breed is.

They are working cowdogs, also from Australia. He's sleeping now, I'll get a shot tomorrow.
