Critics say 'deportations break families apart'. Well, yes. Yes they do. All crimes break families apart. At least when you're deported you're still free, just not free to live in America. I wonder how many cons would trade places with a deportee? I'd wager most.
The problem is, a lot of people think if they disagree with a law, statute, or regulation, they're entitled to break it and then get indignant when it's time to pay the penalty. I don't see people weeping and posting pictures of felons that say;
"Convict watches his wife and daughter leave as he awaits the bailiff to take him to the hoosegow."
On a side note; I upvoted Natalie_Vance's post, so I dunno where this 'low rated' nonsense is coming from.
