Transgender and transvestite are two different things. Transgender people feel they were born in the wrong body. Their physical body doesn't match the gender they identify with. Transvestites like to dress as the opposite sex, but they identify as the sex they were born as.
Sadly, the current perception of this dysphoria is politically motivated. Just because someone sees themself a certain way, doesn't mean it's the correct way. It's immoral to mutilate people's genitals because they suffer body dysphoria. Seriously. Anorexia is a body dysphoria, and the condition is not treated with liposuction. Both of these body dysphorias are treatable conditions, without surgery or redefining male/female. To let you know how crazy society has become, parents are giving their children puberty blocking meds and preparing them for "transition," starting before age 7. This is a sick and barbaric practice.
What is immoral about "mutilating people's genitals"?
If people feel uncomfortable with something, they should do something about it... if only I'd do something about my discomforts..
Transgenderism has been a thing in the past as well; it's not new or exclusive to 2016. There have been documented cases of transgenderism during WWII and prior.
You are arguing against the scientific and medical consensus. Does that make you feel weird? You're suggesting the feelings of people who suffer from a treatable psychological ailment should be put before established medicine. People who espouse your views are partially responsible for the suffering of these individuals. Shame on you and your anti-scientific views.

Let's see some facts from the scientific and medical consensus from a non-biased website. I'm waiting.
Shame on your for making claims and not backing them up.
For a start, I didn't call out shame against you, or accuse you of being anti-science. Nice try trying to strike me down, though. Yikes. ^_^
Secondly, there hasn't been any evidence of transgenderism being "treatable", other than letting the people become recognized as the gender they identify with. Prayer hasn't worked, and forcing someone to be the gender they were born with hasn't worked either.
Lastly, they don't suffer. Ever heard of transgender pride? Even I have it.
Did you read what I typed..?
You haven't refuted the points I made! Here I am trying to get evidence out of "Evidence-BasedReality", and he's not offering it!
You can't call out a loser and pretend that they didn't test your argument. >=/
