You should proably open a book or do some actual research. An average Californian illegal makes an untax $36k a year, which is approx $60k pretaxed.

This whole "illegals pick crops" is a racist profiling. Illegals are actually in fact working in many sectors from teaching assistance, secretary, to even engineering technician. In California, technical schools do not as for your proof of citizenship. Likewise, unless you are applying for a government defense job, such as working for Lockheed Martin, California also does not permit employers from checking your legal status.

I see what you mean when you say that the companies and the government are responsible for housing illegals and ignoring the fact that they are "illegal". However, the fact that legal citizens are on the streets and more desperate (ESPECIALLY our veterans!) than the illegals for jobs in America is a big red flag showing that Illegal immigrants are in fact taking our jobs.

Homeless veterans would be far more welcome on most farms than illegal aliens if they were willing to accept the same pay. The U.S. Spent 150 million dollars last year assisting refugees (along with assistance from 9 separate nonprofits). That sounds like a lot, until you find out we spent $4.5 BILLION on assisting our homeless population. The reality is the majority of our homeless problem, especially when it comes to our vets, has far more to do with our lack of resources assisting with mental health and substance abuse issues than it does with jobs. Currently the unemployment rate is around 4%. And despite internet rumors created by special interest groups the reality is that illegal aliens absolutely do not qualify for benefits. In fact, they are required to be legal U.S. citizens for 5 years before they can even apply. If these issues were competing, believe me I'd be fighting for homeless veterans to take priority. They're simply not related. People who leave behind everything they've ever known to start a new life where there's hope and dignity, and most importantly safety are very courageous. We have to remember we are a country of immigrants. And that is exactly what makes this the best country in the world.

We are in fact a country of immigrants, that is easy to agree with: it's a fact. The only problem with the immigration system is not the refugees, it's the people who come in randomly and illegally. The illegal immigrant situation is out of control, and illegal immigrants are setting up companies in the United States without anything to show they are supposed to be here. It's a problem that needs to be fixed quickly.

The illegal immigrants are refugees in a way, but the United States is not supporting the illegal immigrants, the refugees from the war nations are here legally here.

You do know a lot of "legal" Hispanics also work in the crop picking business? They get paid very little b/c of illegals competing for the same jobs. If illegal Hispanics are kicked out, then base on supply and demand, the living wages of these legal Hispanics would skyrocket. There wouldn't be a need to call for a $15 min wage?
