Yep. But in testing anything, the Bible or not, be sure to do it with honesty and no agenda. That's what so many today miss out on and wind up tricking themselves into merely agreeing with their own predetermined world view, instead of being open to the possibility that they may be wrong. It causes insular thinking which keeps them from growth.
Truth, sought with a full understanding of all it encompasses, and truly delving into the nuance and detail, is never wasted time. Whether that is Constitutional law, scientific advancements, or the Bible itself.
