There are real people, with faces and names who run the drug cartels. Unfortunately the lure of money has a very strong appeal.

Yeah, really. It's all supply and demand and while it stays illegal there's going to be lots of violent crime. Although I can understand the crackdown on the abuse of prescription drugs because in most cases they are being used by people who need them, it's just that they are being abused by others.

Doctors are over-prescribing either because they're lazy or they're greedy for the kickbacks from Big Pharm.

Damn right. I've visited a doctor before for specific issues and he was handing me cards of drugs in blister packs like they were Halloween candy. No other nation in the world has advertisements for controlled substances.

By the way I'm not condoning drug use, just saying that the federal and state authorities are doing something wrong. Besides I thought it 's a funny meme.
