I get paid double time for the hours worked PLUS a full 8 hours holiday pay to boot so I can't complain too much

Yeah I used to get double time and a half when I was managing at the grocery store I worked at forever. I spent many years working holidays and weekends to support my kids. So I definitely know that feel bro. You can still have a good holiday and I hope you do and then some ;)

When I was in middle school or high school, I would change the words of "Wish you a Merry Christmas " to ""Wish you a Hare Krishna!" I still say that to this very day!! Lol. :)

Lucky cousin, I looked at some of those for my 5 yr old and man they are not cheap! So many crazy cool things to buy in that category though!

I don't blame you! It had been a long time since I had bought any and I looked at them for my sons birthday back in Oct. I saw the prices and was like, umm maybe when he is older he can put this Millennium Falcon together with me, if I put it on layaway for the next couple years haha!

I didn't know as a kid that if I wanted to buy Star Wars toys for my kids someday I would have to leave my Star Wars toys untouched in the box to sell lol.

I felt the same way about my brother's leather ET doll. I bought it from him for a quarter and then turned around and sold it for fifty cents. If only I had known :)

Exactly, even after I got my first gaming system it was for rainy days or times that we couldn't get outside. I'm blessed to have a 15yr old daughter that is the same way, doesn't even want a cell phone and most of her Christmas list is for books! Our culture lost a lot of good things in exchange for technology unfortunately.

Exactly! Even in the dead of winter we were out sledding and all that stuff. You don't often see that as the norm anymore.

You're are lucky! Your daughter sounds like a rare breed in this day and age! It will serve her well :)
