They've been working on improving the release times on original templates and I've notice it's a lot better now. With the ads increasing revenue I have a feeling the site will just keep on improving which makes me really happy. A lot of things are better than when I started and I can't wait to see what they do to make this site even better than it already is :)

You don't have to click them for the site to make money but that is cool of you. I'm not exactly sure of how it works. But I know the site will make money just on views for the page the ad is on. basically if say an ad is on the front page, then the site makes money for how many views the front page got that day or week or something like that. So just us being on a page that has an ad makes the site money. Even if we don't click on the ad we have a good chance of seeing the advertisement just being on the page.

That's cool. I'm glad to see companies like Best Buy on there now.

I know man it's awesome how many companies are advertising here, plus it's cool how they just put that one ad per page. Not many website creators care about their users enough to not plaster their pages with ads. We are very lucky that ours thinks about us like they do, one of the many things that make this site as great as it is :)

Any bets on whether this gets through? Considering the events of today in Europe. ...

Yeah, that's an area I have no luck in, I think my sarcasm doesn't mix well with terrorist memes, I had a couple not make it and gave up on the genre lol.

Sometimes I wonder if the Charlie Hebdo massacre has influenced the moderators. I would never poke fun if their "prophet" but there is just so much material to use. I can't help it.

It would not be easy being a moderator, you have to be careful about what you let your site be responsible for putting out there. I'm sure there are some that they might personally take the right way. But if the possibility exists of it being taken the wrong way or something I'm sure they have to take that into account.

I don't think there's any time that works best, honestly. I've been here for almost 4 years and it changes all the time. I think during the day, Texas time, is best, but I've submitted memes at 2am and they've done well. It just gets irritating sometimes, not knowing for sure.

I hear ya, at least it's fair for everybody, we all get lucky and we all get hosed sometimes.

Except for Raydog. His memes get on the front page pretty much every time. Lol!

I think a lot of that is his fans and people always want to comment on his stuff because they know it will do well. And it does well because people always want to comment on his stuff lol. He gets buried as much as the rest of us, just has more people checking his home page than most of us.

getting them in during morning hours is probably the best, you never know though ;)
