It's Opening Day for Deer Hunting

Happens every year here too.. Deer seem to know when season opens !

That is so true! Even worse is on opening day you here shots all around you and you don't see a damn thing! Not even a squirrel! Lol. :)

Squirrels don't hide where I hunt. They like to mimic deer walking. They drive me nuts! LOL :)

I was up in a tree stand one time and 5 feet away in the tree next to me a squirrel climbed down to my eye level and began barking. Trying to be a good hunter, I didn't move and tried to ignore him, well, after 20 minutes of non stop barking, and surely alerting every deer within a mile of my position, I turned him into a spray of red mist. No, it wasn't right to do that, but I felt better! I somehow attract squirrels, I don't get it, they love me or something? Lol

I think every hunter has had something like that happen. Mine was a 4-5 years ago, I had was in homemade stand in the crook of a big oak. We have an armrest bar that spans between the trunk and a very large branch. This squirrel came down and came across the bar to my hand and stopped. He sat there for a fw minutes until I moved my fingers and then shot off. Not five minutes he later he was back, but on the other end of the platform. Apparently he thought I needed company. :D

Lol. Stuff like that never happens on your back porch or heard, they always come while you're trying to do something important, like hunting! Ha ha! :)
