We had few ok ones near me get shut down for INS violations. 4 restaurants shut down in one raid, owner released on bail in less than 6 hours workers sent back to mexico

I call it Okrahoma because Okra is a grown crop here... no Japanese steak houses , no sushi (Closest is down in Texas) , No all you can eat chinese buffets here, and it sucks to have to drive 3 hours one way if ya wanted a good steak dinner !

Now that you mention it, I didn't see a steak place in Stillwater when I was there a few years ago. Must be they expect you to just go out and catch your own, like deer hunting.

As far as restaurants go, in Arizona all we lack is fresh seafood.

We even have taco trucks, and Sonoran hot dog stands! I've never went out for Taquitos though.

Mostly an exaggeration for the sake of a meme.

In the cities there's everything, including decent Tex-Mex (too many people confuse Tex-Mex for actual Mexican food), but only one place I would actually consider Mexican (95% of the staff is latino/a as well). If you live out in the sticks its mostly Americana, or horrible imitation foreign food. It's historically Scandinavians here, mostly Norwegian I think. Lots of Somalis now as well. I think we're the number 2 metro for Somalis.

Jk. My BIL was stationed in Africa guarding from the Pirates. I guess it's better than the Middle East.
