Perfect response. Love it.

Practically nothing went according to plan for the proposal, except for the fact that she said yes. My well placed plans and even trials to ensure a smooth operation fell though. Oh well, it makes for a great story!

To sum up the things that went wrong:
1) I moved the date up from Saturday because I realized we were going to have dinner with her whole family last night...then he brother and sister-in-law have to cancel because of babysitter issues.
2) Sequences were supposed to happen in a certain order...she was too rushed when she got home and skipped ahead to the last step...lol
3) Never involve animals in your plans.
4) The cat got the ring to fall off...luckily it landed somewhere easy to find.
5) A few more things that you just had to be there for in order for it be funny.

Very non-traditional. We'll basically just go to the courthouse, sign some papers, and then take a vacation (honeymoon).

Totally true. We've known we've wanted to do it for 4 years, but we each had reasons at various times why we wanted to wait. I think it was 11 days shy of being six years from our first date.
