It was so fun! We had several adults leave in tears, and at least 2 people admittedly pee'd on themselves! It was only out second night open and we had almost 100 people go through! Looking forward to next weekend!

Sounds similar to Knott's Scary Farm, but on a much smaller scale. I think if I was one of the people being scared my initial reaction would probably be something on the lines of me punching them and then running way.

Is that what they're teaching future officers, Haunted Trails?

How about learning to move, shoot, and communicate?

Honestly, I'm not trying to sound like a total ass, it just comes naturally. I have no idea what a Haunted Trail is, and at this point I'm afraid to ask, but hopefully it raises money for a good cause, like disabled vets or some such thing.

It really grinded my gears when I was on active duty and had to take time from training my Marines and maintaining my equipment to go out and do Toys for Tots or Habitat for Humanity. Thanks for letting me vent.

:-) vent anytime! LOL my 15 year old son is in JROTC the parents and some volunteers are hosting a haunted walk around the river bank to raise money for our team to go to nationals for a PT competition. They train and practice 5 days a week here in full combat gear. I can't speak for all the JROTC programs but I can speak for ours in saying that they teach respect both for themselves, and others, they also teach rifle, map reading, endurance, etc. My son has grown in leaps and bounds since joining the program. When my son started he was 5'9" smart mouthed rack of bones. He is now a 6' polite lean, mean, sit up doing machine.
The haunted trail is nothing more than a fundraiser for several of our kids who can't afford to pay for their trip :-)
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY! You my friend rock!

Awesome!

I probably didn't associate the J in JROTC...high school JROTC should be a bit different from college level ROTC.

Still, it sounds like he's making the most of it, it is a good cause, and your ARE raising money for a good cause! Best of luck to all of you! Our country needs more fathers and sons like you guys!

Thanks! We had almost 150 people go through in the last 2 night. $10 a person so not to shabby for our first weekend. I expect double the traffic next week. It beats selling rada cutlery or candy bars lol

SO MUCH FUN!!! This is my son in the middle of the river trail (the trail alone is spooky, it follows the river bank in the darkest part of the woods). He made several people cry, a feat that he is very proud of LOL

The one thing I miss about my video/gaming store was my gaming store was downstairs in a winding stairway, I would make it a haunted stairway and yes I scared people too, some wouldn't even go down them. Let us know how it goes :)
