I recall watching the Democratic convention on my stepdads color TV back in 1968. I think it was a colorblind TV as the people were all green. When one correspondent was shown, the antenna for his local transmitter was very visible making him look like an alien.

Don't get me wrong. I love the Amish and Mennonite communities. But the pic indicates fog and no tail lights or light strips on the buggy.

I think I see a taillight on the side of the buggy. However, some Amish believe any bright markings feed pride so they don't use them. It's really easy to not see them in the rain or fog.

Yea Ohio tried several times but they kept making exceptions under religious freedom. One Amish group is allowed to have only two dim kerosene lanterns. I moved out of Ohio four years ago and that's one hazard I don't mind leaving behind

I moved to GA...traded that hazard for pulpwood trucks with upright stakes maintained by noncertified welders.
