I have seen a few dogs (i.e.: from druggies) who obviously trained dogs to threaten people in uniform. Like a poor pit bull chained near the door with 6 feet of chain. That was one miserable dog, and he was scary but not seem mean by nature. I think they ended taking the dog away & it may have been euthanized. The huge majority of pit bulls are friendly, if you're not afraid.

well there's a whole other problem of tethered animals. there are starting to be laws against that. very very bad, as you said. poor dogs, and the people should have extremely strict penalties as if they had put a person on that pole chained up.

They really are. For every bad dog, there are at least 100 good ones. Usually it's just a matter of how they're treated or raised.

They almost attack owners, friends, relatives---unneutered males, or maybe new mothers. So I was a bit careful
