I always thought it was about dinner.

I think the Pink Floyd song is about dinner. Pudding is a traditional English dessert. Their may have been a sexual connotation though.

Yeah. I thought it was just about a person's memory of how his parents spoke to him at the dinner table.

I thought it was the teachers telling the students they can't have pudding at lunch if they don't eat their meat.

I mean the song is clearly about education. :{P

Okay, that makes more sense, about the teachers saying it.

I guess I just thought it was about parents because I assumed it was a mix of a person's response to authority figures.

Well the music video shows a school teacher from what I remember. A headmaster of sorts.

We don't need no education, teachers leave them kids alone, another brick in the wall, all seem like references to school to me. :{
