That's what SJWs don't realize...yes, they can say anything that they want, but there are consequences. If I don't agree with what someone is saying or doing, I have a right to say or do something as well, I don't have to sit there and silently take it.
Those that don't agree with Mr. Kaepernick don't want to take away his First Amendment rights, they are just exercising their own First Amendment rights.
Where it gets tricky is when you are expressing your First Amendment rights in the workplace. Your management's right to discipline you usually trumps your First Amendment rights. Therefore, there are those that are calling for a boycott of the NFL and/or disciplinary actions against those that don't stand for the national anthem. Again, that's all within their rights, not trying to take away anyone's First Amendment rights. If someone wants to express their views, they should do it on their own time, not at the workplace.
