Literally just did interview w oldest for school about "where were you in 9/11" and just finished watching coverage from the day on YouTube. It is not taught in school, but it is important to discuss. Then middle said- I thought Pearl Harbor was the largest....

Yes. I watched it live on TV. But there was not social media or phones like today. Many people didn't know what was going on. I called work to say I wasn't coming in, and they thought I was overreacting. I think I even have a photo of my cat, just by chance of him sitting on the tv this day while this transpired.

I had limited internet access at work, but was refreshing USA Today all day long. The break room in Texas Instruments had a TV and people gave us updates from there too.

Our schools teach it but...when is the right time? We don't need 4th graders getting anxiety over it. Can't kids be kids, for a little while anymore? No more innocence.
