Probably not yet. Still figuring this out.., and thought at least I could earn points while learning. I don't get the suspicious part, if I can't comment without making a meme, I'll just casually read till I'm ready.

I haven't been here long, but from what I have seen from Clinkster, they seem to be one of those that suspects just about anyone of being a troll. There are a number of users here that think the same way. I would say that is where the suspicious part comes from. It can't be enough for them that some people may just want to read and comment on memes instead of creating them. I know that not everyone feels likes creating memes, so I see no reason to want to just read them and comment on them. Not much to really figure out here, except who might start attacking when suspecting you of being a troll. Then you are pretty much screwed at doing anything.

I have seen plenty of activity like that from tetsuoswrath by looking at old memes. Makes me wonder how he gets away with doing stuff like that.

That is one reason why I told him to keep doing what he is doing. Plus no reason to do something you really don't feel like doing just because someone tells you to.

Don't stop commenting. Don't let them intimidate you. You should feel free to comment all you want without creating a meme yourself. There is nothing in this site that says you are required to create memes to be here. Do whatever you want here as long as you have fun.

Its with good reason some of the long time users have those suspicions, there has been plenty of precedent. Although I don't know that "lol" qualifies as trollish behavior.

Doesn't seem very healthy for the site to have that kind of mind set. To justify a fast decision whether someone is a troll based on other's actions in the past doesn't seem to give them much of a chance to be anything else. It also doesn't give someone much of a chance to change, from what I have seen, once one is labeled a troll they are always a troll no matter what.

That most anywhere in society, that some actions just set the radar to "watch". It doesn't always mean we act on them. Its the same as when you drive through some neighborhoods, you check to make sure your car door is locked,

Actually I hardly ever lock my vehicle. I would rather be willing to trust everyone than suspect everyone. You can live a less paranoid life that way. Plus locks are only meant to keep honest people out. How inviting do you think it makes it to have a "shoot first, ask questions later" type of attitude on a site like this? To think it is justified to be on "high alert" for people tonact like a troll, that doesn't create a positive environment, just stereotyping new users as being trolls. Maybe instead of waiting to label someone, these long time users should forget and move on. And even if a troll does come around, maybe instead of attacking, act positively or ignore, and they just might move on or change themselves.

I also don't think anyone took a shot. While I would agree a "lol" comment does not qualify as trollish behavior and already said as much. I have no idea what may have transpired between those 2. I must admit my interaction with you hasn't been very positive. You tried to drag me into a fight you were in with another user who you felt the need to tell his submission wasn't funny. You seem to be very interested in changing things around here for a "new user" which you are careful to tell everyone you are. If you are this new, I think its a little early to be telling people how to act and what is and isn't funny and in ghostofchurch's case that "this isn't a good site for them".

Maybe you need to go back to that meme and see how it started. I originally had upvoted it (even though I didn't find it funny) and was trying to have some fun with my first comment by saying either he fell for one of those facebook posts that falsely claims a celebrity death or was trying to make a joke about how his character dies in a lot of his films. He then pretty mucj got onto me by saying that I need to read his tags. After that I said that nobody really reads tags and that the joke of a meme shouldn't be found in tags, since the purpose for tags is for search engines. When I say him pretty much just going to continue to make assumptions about me, that is when I stated that his meme wasn't funny and why. I didn't go there originally to say it wasn't funny, so there is no justifying your claim there.

Next thing. This is not the only place in which memes exist. So regardless of how many I have made here, that doesn't mean I can't have an opinion of what makes a good meme. And tell me where I was wrong in my statement that if the meme was posted anywhere else, the tags would not be seen, therefor the area he had the joke at would not be seen. It doesn't take an expert in memes or someone who has created 1,000 memes on this site to know that.

As far as how the site should be ran, tell me where I am wrong that people should not judge others so quickly. Tell me where I am wrong that there shouldn't be more positive things seen. Tell me where I am wrong that people should be allowed to voice their opinion, whatever it may be. All of this is not about how the site should be ran, but how we conduct ourselves in everything we do.

It is obvious the only opinion you care to hear is that of which agrees with yours 100%. So you know what, don't even bother answering any of that I just asked you. Obviously you are only going to look for the negative things I say to use that against me. You are only wanting to bring negativity to the conversation, and I really don't see why that is necessary. When I asked you that question the other day, do you think I would have asked that to someone I thought at the time was only doing that of which I saw ghost doing? My question was not just in reference to ghost about his meme, but from a number of other users that are in that top 100 spot that show just as much arrogance in things. I only used that person as an example as it was something directed towards me. But now I can use you as the example as well. Apparently as a top user, you don't think it is possible for someone who hasn't been here long to have a valid opinion about something they see with the site, unless it is 100% uplifting of all top 100 users. To me, that shows arrogance on your part thinking you can't have any faults here. Notice, if you will, in my comment you quoted where I stated that I hope not all users act like ghost was. I didn't say all do act like him, and I can't accurately say that either as I haven't interacted with all top users. But from my interaction with you, ghost, and what I have seen from other top users, new users are not allowed to have opinions, and maybe even users that have been here a while that people like you label as a troll because their opinion differs from yours.

Personally I've never felt the need to go to another user's meme and tell them it sucked, wasn't funny or whatever. I skip over it and move on. Most (not all) of the top users treat others with more respect than that. You however, after 11 submissions into the site are expert enough to tell people what is good or not and how the site should be run. BTW, I didn't call you a troll. I just pointed out that my interactions with you have not been positive to this point, and they're still going downhill quickly.

I see there really is no talking to you. You are already making false claims about me, trying to label me as a troll, all because I have voiced my opinion. If someone is going to take it personal when someone tells them why their meme isn't good, then it should be accurate to say that maybe this isn't the place for them. Nice to meet you too. Some people think users that comment fast with no memes might be trolls, I don't think that though. But most of my points (And most others) come from comments. You're going faster than anybody I've ever seen, that's how DashHopes (#3 on the Top 100) got so many points, and he's only been here for 7 months. I think if you keep it up, you'll be big on this site. I'm not doing too many memes in these past few months because I've been out of ideas.
