"Runs in my family" is BS. You ever been to Europe? There's only a handful of people who are overweight because of genes. The #1 cause of obesity is the combination of eating unhealthily and living a sedentary lifestyle. That doesn't mean you can't have hamburgers and chocolate, Europeans have that. It's the AMOUNT you have, you shouldn't overindulge like all American culture encourages. And having chicken or fish more often than beef because they're leaner. Not taking the car to walk 5 minutes down the block. etc. It's really not that hard, people. You literally just have to want to get fit, and do it. Yet prevention is the best way to go, because by the time you weigh 300+ lbs, you've got a lot of work to do. It's still possible though.
