I think you should choose his friendship. Just because she's pretty, doesn't mean that she's perfect for you. I've fallen in love with girls just for their looks and not their personality, which didn't end well. However, friends are hard to replace, and they already like you for who you are. As you said good friends are hard to come by. One of my brothers joined the Army and when he was in boot camp his best friend moved in on his girlfriend.
