She was REAL heavy into AA. She'd meet a guy there, they'd wind up marrying, he'd fall off he wagon, she'd leave him.

Once upon a time, I would drink maybe once every 3 months, but because my purpose in drinking was to get drunk, she said I was an alcoholic. Almost wonder if she didn't drive them to drinking... Haven't drank in over 12 years, but not for any particular reason.

I teach a 12 step class and see this all the time! Especially in the ladies, we tend to want to mother hen and fix things so ladies take people under their wing and before you know it there are feelings involved. That's one of the reasons a male and female should never sponsor each other. It never goes the way it's supposed to. I have had several different people both men an women over the years develop an unhealthy attraction to me. It can be scary lol especially when they have your personal info. I actually had one lady who told me she had fallen in love with me, no matter how hard I tried to explain to her that I wasn't a lesbian she insisted we were supposed to be together. Not sure how she is now lol I had to distance myself. I have over 15 years sobriety but alcohol was never my problem. I think a person can social drink and not have an addiction, that's one of the reason I teach an open NA/AA group instead of just AA or NA.

I have actually owned Toyota, Pontiac,Dodge, Ford, Chevy, and even a Suzuki. I just gravitated towards Chevy after driving a Prizm (it had a Toyota motor) for about 6 years with 0 problems. Since then I drove a Malibu until I went deer hunting with it and totaled it and now I am in a Trailblazer.

LOL do you not hunt? I actually love to hunt but haven't done much hunting in the last 5 or 6 years. I swear that buck had wings! I caught sight of him in mid air coming off a bank and hit my brakes or he would have been through the windshield hoofs first. It killed my soul! The girls at work thought it was a great opportunity to be "cute" though! The note says Grandma is safe this year (insert my name) ran over the reindeer!

This was actually after we had pulled the worst of the damage out of the car. It was pushed back about 10 inches further and the headlight was gone. The side panel was also messed up on the drivers side. We still have the car, it looks pretty good now. I think my son I going to start out in it next year.

My one-and-only truck was a Ford. I needed a vehicle BAD, and it was the only thing for sale locally that I could afford that day. I didn't know how to drive a standard before that truck, but I had to learn as I drove off with it. I LOVED that truck!

The problem was, my battery died one day, and when I went to jump-start it, I didn't realize the previous owner had put the wrong color cables on the battery terminals... Toasted my poor truck.

My only new truck was a Ford but when I bought the house I let it go, payments were close to the house payments lol

An old, beat up, sky blue Chevy Silverado was my first vehicle, many years ago. The first new car I bought was a Chevy Cavalier, about 15 years ago. But now I'm in a 2015 Subaru WRX 6-speed, and it's an absolute blast to drive.

I now drive a Subaru outlander and a dodge caravan. Seems lots of kids changes your driving vehicles lol

I'm not really sure. I just know there are more active guy users in here. At least that I have seen. Recently we seem to have some new users participating who are female which has been awesome! LOL sometimes my girly memes disappear bahahaha

I think when I first joined up I assumed it would be mostly all guys (teenagers).

But I've had a lot of surprises on the site when people reveal something about themselves, so I guess I just stay open to being surprised even more.
