I think it's funny that people hoped Bernie would be different. I don't know whether to pity them for being so naive, or admire their ability to kindle hope in places where no hope can possibly exist.
He lit a fire for a lot of younger people that might not have been interested in participating otherwise. I feel sorry for them that their first taste of politics will be so harsh. I think that Hillary will have a VERY difficult time converting his younger voters vs. older democrats that supported Bernie before will most likely just follow the party line.
