LOL! At least Alaskan residents get an annual payout from the oil royalty fund. Back in 2014 it was $1884.00. Although, it's probably just enough to cover the extra high cost of groceries and other consumables.
Yeah, it pretty much just covers all the five-dollar gallons of milk that a family goes through in a year.
This past year, though, the oil royalty fund (officially called the Permanent Fund Dividend, or PFD) was just over two grand.
Sorry, I don't know the answer. From what I just read in an article the state will pay out more in tax credits than it will receive back in royalties this year. The tax credits go to the oil companies for business losses. I don't live in Alaska. :)
