Here's an idea of what happens to someone not name Clinton that breaks the rules when using a government computer and how bogus the FBI decision is to not prosecute Clinton and the amount of power she has over just about every office of government.

When I worked on the Shuttle program at Kennedy Space Center I was reprimanded by our security and damn near lost my job for using MS Paint on a government computer to draw a picture and copying it on a new, empty, formatted floppy disc I brought from home.

It was shown and admitted by the FBI that Clinton willfully broke the law taking classified emails from a government secured server to a personal non-secured server and having discussions with people about classified material on that non-secured server but she will not be charged because there was no intent to harm the U.S.

I guess my intent when I drew the picture was to destroy the U.S. My evil plot continues. I just installed new drawing software.

Seriously though, was it the removal of info from a government computer, or introducing an outside storage media to a government system that was the big issue...just curious.
reply
[deleted]
2 ups, 1 reply
It was bringing the floppy disc from home and the head of security being computer illiterate not realizing a drawing could not "create a virus" in the system, which he stated. This was 1995, the web and virus's were no where near what they are now. At that time I had an MS A+ cert. I made him look stupid in front of the other people at the interview so that didn't help. At that time a freshly formatted floppy could not transfer any virus. The virus technology wasn't there.
reply

that's pretty funny, I understand why leaving a secure area with transferred storage is a big deal, which is why I would favor the re-writing of the law to prosecute former members of the government for the mis-handling of information as that appear to be what "Croney" was hiding behind today.
reply
[deleted]
1 up
Yeah, they got me on a technicality. The transferred storage was a drawing of two birds in a tree made on an unsecured computer not connected to the internet. It was used for typing and printing letters and notices or just personal memos. To this day I laugh at the Security chief and his "this could have caused a severe issue with flight safety" BS. I literally broke out laughing at the interview.

Scary to think if the FBI director was talking about someone else the out come would have been far different.
Someone with such piss poor judgement should not be president.

I completely agree. It's a sham and if a regular government employee would have done that they would have been fired and probably prosecuted. Our government is a joke and shows just how much power and influence the Clintons have. I worked for the government and got suspended for bringing in a floppy disk to copy a picture I drew on a government computer that wasn't even connected to the internet.

Oh, I know it's difficult for you to comprehend but I'm an Independent and would no more vote for Trump than Clinton so your assumption is as ignorant as your comprehension of the FBI report.
reply
4 ups, 1 reply
I am an independent as well, and as such I hope you will join me in voting for Trump. Because the alternative is just horrible. You can stand by your principles but in the end it just means that your not voting is one lost cancellation of a Hillary vote. So, when she wins and people ask you who you voted for say " I voted for Hillary"

You're making assumptions. Also, you didn't answer my question. I get that you don't like either of them, but in your opinion, who is the lesser of two evils?
reply

I could literally care less who wins. There are policies from both that I don't like. You're looking for an answer where there is none. What we have is two pieces of crap. One taken in the morning and one at night. The difference is the ingredients from the meals but both are crap. Which would you put in your pocket?
reply
3 ups, 3 replies
No. I'm a realist and voting for Mickey Mouse who has NO chance of winning just to make a statement is idiocy at the highest level. So I say again, when they ask you who you voted for say " I voted for a guy that I knew had NO chance of winning thus guaranteeing that Hillary would win." You are the disillusioned one here, not me. IF there was a viable 3rd candidate running I would vote for him/her...but there isn't . YOU are one of the ones that will ensure that Hillary is our next Prez. How does that make you feel?

I and the rest of us true Independents just get tired of the two party sheep spouting that my vote will go to so and so because the third party won't win. The entire concept of their argument is so ignorant it's beyond comprehension. The reason for the Independent movement is to get enough votes for the third party to justify it being an equal part of the election process and not a forcibly hidden option. If Independents vote for one of the two parties what's the point of having an Independent candidate? If every person who votes for the lesser of two evils voted for the Independent candidate they could win. That goes in line with the two party sheep train of thought.

Your downvote to my reply just proves your a stupid child that didn't get their way. The name calling is a deserved reaction to your stupidity and the "losing" and argument comment is just another example of your immaturity. I didn't "lose" anything but I did gain insight on another member here that is a whiney baby. As for my vote actually going to Hillary, the same can be said from a Democratic view that it will go towards Trump. Seriously, you're an idiot.
2 ups
Thank you for the name-calling. That is always the result when someone loses an argument or debate. Are you sure you are not a liberal? That is what they do. You cannot refute my facts and reason so you resort to childish name-calling. Johnson has NO,chance to win. Zero, NADA, so you and those like you voting for him shows your stupidity and almost guarantees that Hillary will in.

It is part of the original investigation results. The FBI clearly admitted what she did was illegal but will not recommend charges because of no "intent" to harm the U.S. was found. In other words she broke the law but her position and power gives her a pass. Here's the full report. Any other person would be prosecuted. https://www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel/press-releases/statement-by-fbi-director-james-b.-comey-on-the-investigation-of-secretary-hillary-clintons-use-of-a-personal-e-mail-system

reply
5 ups, 1 reply
The word ban was also joined with the word temporary as to allow proper vetting so that it was known who was coming and what threat may or may not come with them, especially when terrorists had announced plans to infiltrate. A process that the people of France, Brussels, Germany and other countries wish they had put in place long ago. I agree it wasn't so eloquently stated but the idea behind it represents a sound thought process.

From the actual report. Diskatopia has to be the f'n dumbest person who ever thought they knew politics. I think of someone with Down's Syndrome every time I see her moniker.

seven e-mail chains concern matters that were classified at the Top Secret/Special Access Program level when they were sent and received. These chains involved Secretary Clinton both sending e-mails about those matters and receiving e-mails from others about the same matters. There is evidence to support a conclusion that any reasonable person in Secretary Clinton’s position, or in the position of those government employees with whom she was corresponding about these matters, should have known that an unclassified system was no place for that conversation. In addition to this highly sensitive information, we also found information that was properly classified as Secret by the U.S. Intelligence Community at the time it was discussed on e-mail (that is, excluding the later “up-classified” e-mails).

None of these e-mails should have been on any kind of unclassified system, but their presence is especially concerning because all of these e-mails were housed on unclassified personal servers not even supported by full-time security staff, like those found at Departments and Agencies of the U.S. Government—or even with a commercial service like Gmail.

If someone is going to make a false point then actual facts need to be presented to refute it or the person making the false point will just continue to post ignorance. Diskotopia is one. She posts idiocy and has absolutely no clue what the FBI results said other than there will be no charges. In other words, she doesn't understand politics.
