I was walking up to the store w/ the spouse and a table of 4 girls with dark red lipstick, big hoop earrings, 90s punk girl hair, nose and eyebrow piercing, etc. yelled to me to come sign their petition (Something about banning school uniforms from a private Christian school. IMO, if a skirt makes a girl feel objectified then they shouldn't have to wear it, so I was KINDA on board). My husband approached with me, he said "what's it for, again?" to which they responded "NOBODY ASKED YOU! WE DON'T NEED BRO-DUDE SIGNATURES! GET THE F**K OUT YOU R*PIST PIG!"
So I grab his hand and start walking away and they shout at me "You don't need to go with him! You're the victim here!"
So I finally say "When you insult my husband, you insult me. Get f***ed and have a nice day."

That's the first time I've seen that kind of feminism here. Usually it's just my sister-in-law's dumb friend on Facebook. Most feminists I've met are more moderate "girl power" types or more like myself.

It's gotten to the point in England that holding a door for a woman is a great travesty. Men where built to protect our most precious gift. The woman.

A woman is not a gift that inherently belongs to a man. I'd rephrase that.

Not a gift, but a partner. God gave man a woman because He saw that man (Adam) was lonely. He then created woman out of man, therefore they are one. Same flesh and same body. The man and the woman are equal in God's eyes, but have different roles.

We're at odds on that view, as I'm a heathen, but that's about it.

As far as feminism goes, I just believe that neither a man nor a woman ought to be bound to gender-based roles by law or by subjective morality.

If a woman wants to work while her husband listens to Spice Girls and makes cupcakes, that's fine. If neither want to work then they can both make cupcakes together until they get evicted.

Obviously a man can't give birth. And obviously a woman can't impregnate herself. These are really the only gender-based roles that exist. And neither party is required to fulfill them, otherwise we'd have forced breeding laws.

Agree to disagree then. I agree that men can stay home and women can work outside the home, but disagree that men and women don't have certain roles to fill. But this is where my belief in God comes I to play.

Or that old addage that boys will be boys and girls will be girls. You can't really make boys play games that girls like and expect them to not be bored.

Most of the modern day feminists try to turn men into women and of they can't, they ridicule them for being men.
