I would've said don't worry about the watermark... It's not really that obvious (in fact, I didn't notice it until I read this chain). But, then again, the linked one IS more relevant to memes... Whatever... Many upvotes.

Thanks, true I'm kinda glad I looked for a non watermarked picture because I like the other better. I don't like using watermarked images for two reasons. One I don't like promoting any company that thinks they should copyright an image on the internet. And two it does state in the imgflip terms and conditions not to use them. While I do see them make it through submission, I try to avoid anything that may hurt my chances. Appreciate your comment :)

I think as long as it's not all in-your-face, they'll let it slide. I see your point about not being a commercial-maker for those sites, though.

There are a lot of pics out there I would have used to meme but have stopped because of it. Unless you are a photographer and they are sample pics somebody hasn't paid you to take yet I just don't see the point of ruining a pic hoping somebody will pay to use it.
