The president and VP are not allowed to travel in the same vehicle in case it crashes. A quick search would have improved your knowledge.

Ahhhh, the young and dumb more than likely. Typical young Liberal probably. Just believe what they hear without research then run with the mob.

non-sequitur. As NotU says, it's done for security reasons.

Which in turn puts the issue in its relative importance: you are to cut back but not the privileged.

The president and VP do not fall under the "privileged" label. It is for security reasons and I can't believe you don't understand the problem with losing both in one accident.

A. I'm jacking with you. B. Gore may have invented the Internet but he ain't VP anymore and has no reason to waste more fossil fuel energy in a year than most of us use in a lifetime to tell us to cut back more, and C. In our current budget crisis and with our current leadership, I'm willing to make them carpool and take that risk.

Here's an interesting Snopes article on how that whole "Gore invented the 'net" thing came about.....

1) The president and the vice president don't travel together...EVER. Security reasons.

2) This meme would have made more sense if you used a liberal celebrity who screams at us for causing too much global warming.

3) I still upvoted your meme.

They both are a crisis, and even if global warming doesn't exist, pollution is still a VERY real problem. Just look at China and India. But, ISIS is a more short-term yet noticeable problem, and they are EXTREMELY evil bastards who just like killing.
3 ups, 8y
Put your bet on ISIS killing Americans way before global warming.

Short term? Who are you trying to kid? It's not going away any time soon.

I meant relatively, and it WOULD be VERY short term if we just terminated them with everything we've got besides nukes.

That's pretty much what the Allies did to the Central Powers after WWI, and what happened in Eastern Europe after WWII Iraq in 2003. The result: some of the worst political, military, and social disasters in the history of the world.
I Germany, the Germans felt like they had been wronged. That desire for revenge was used by Hilter to become dictator of Germany. The Holocaust, WWII, nuclear weapons, any of that ring any bells. The same thing happened to Eastern Europe at the end of WWII and caused the rise of the Soviet Union. That's what happens when you kick ass and walk away like it's not your problem.
Iraq is still going on almost 15 years after it turned into a shitstorm, and that's because we kicked a bee hive and created a power vacuum. That power vacuum led to the rise of terrorist groups like ISIS, so the policy you want us to use on ISIS is actually the EXACT SAME THING THAT LED TO THE CREATION OF ISIS!
It's not a simple problem at all! There is a short term solution to ISIS, but you may remember that ISIS succeeded the Taliban and Al Qaeda as the world's biggest terrorist group. ISIS was the "next Al Qaeda" so who's going to be the "next ISIS"? Smothering a fire with pine needles and sticks may put it out, but what happens when THEY catch fire from any lingering embers?

Scrap that, then, we should just try and do something more than we're currently doing about ISIS...
0 ups, 8y
Actually, ISIS is a delicate issue. If we flex our military muscles and crush their heads between our metaphorical thighs, we'll just create another vacuum and another terrorist organization will rise. If we do nothing it will grow out of control.
Our current administration is actually on the right track. ISIS is like drugs: you have to get the consumers to stop buying the drugs if you want to stop the cartels. If you take down one, the consumer demand is still there, so another cartel will pop up to fill in the supply gap. If we can get people to stop joining ISIS and stop hating and fighting each other all the time, ISIS will fall apart and there won't be any demand for a new one.
I know, it sounds all lovey-dovey and fairy tale-ish, but this is one of those situations where it works. It won't be an immediate fix, and ISIS is working to increase the hate and violence in the region to maintain its relevance, but eventually it will fall apart.

Muslims have been terrorizing the world for thousands of years what makes you think they are going to stop? Their ideals are to having everyone in Islam or dead.

You know, that just proves you're ignorant, 'cause the Ottoman Empire was run by Muslims and they were MUCH more tolerant of other religions than the Christians of the time. Pay more attention in history class...

LOL, dumbass. How did they obtain the "Empire"? What religion has stopped and which is still killing people? Pay more attention to the world. Oh, Today two suicide bombers in Turkey killed and injured many in the name of Islam. You're a f'n idiot.

They obtained the "empire " part by conquest, but they didn't terrorize the citizens of their empire, idiot. You didn't get my point...

Your point in moot. The "citizens" had to live under Muslim rule so, yes, they were terrorized and couldn't speak out if they didn't like what was happening for fear of persecution. Keep talking BS, I'll just post more incidences as they occur from your "peaceful" religion. I can't believe anyone is stupid enough to follow a pedophile rapist as their leader. More proof all of you are mindless sheep.

LOL, the Muslim situation from the last 15 years won't let anyone be convinced they are worth a shit. How about the Muslims take care of their own situation and stop being cowards? That works for me.
