As someone from Louisiana I always get a chuckle when I hear it.

Yeah, I'm a wuss when it comes to cold. I can handle 100' all day but anything under 70 sucks. That's why I live in Florida. Shorts, T-shirt and flip flops 363 a year. We do have two cold days a year.

Poor bastard. Im in middle Canada, gets f**kin cold here. But we've learned to embrace it. Ice fishing shacks, snowmobiling and big ass fires. Dress for it you be ok.

Winnipeg here. Gets sickening hearing about how cold it is everywhere else. They don't know Jack about cold.

lol. I am near Edmonton. It was pretty cold one day -15C (5F) and I met a girl walking with a hoody. When I asked her if she was cold her response was. "This isn't cold, I'm from Winnipeg".

Uh, no but you Canucks and U.S. Northerners sure make my life miserable every winter when you trek down here to get out of the cold. Lines to get in anywhere double and the traffic is at a stand still. Thank God we have the hole in the wall places you guys don't know about.

Snowbirds! Ha ha ha ha. Most of the folks around here go to Arizona and Texas , but alot of the eastern folk head to Florida. I'll be one one day. Prolly Arizona. Got alot if friends with property there.

I know, I'm originally from Arizona and still have family there. Northern AZ is awesome but it is getting ruined by tourists, immigrants and snow birds. The place was incredible back in the 70's when I was there. Not so much now. I get disgusted every time I go back.

Awe c'mon man, some pretty good Canadians travel. We're not all assholes. They add money to the economy. And if they're willing to lose 30 cents on the dollar to stay there, it must be worth it.

It would be like that to you if you saw your childhood memories being ruined by population growth, tourism, garbage, a million souvenir shops with "authentic" Indian jewelry and Kachina Dolls. Your favorite place being closed down weeks at a time due to E-Coli outbreaks. Just sad. I actually have many Canadian clients. I don't dislike anyone. It's difficult living in a city you love but it becomes a nightmare for five months a year. I don't know if you're French Canadian but I've had the worst experiences with them. They are not the nicest of people.

Ha ha ha. I am French Canadian, but Manitoba french. It's the Quebecois french that are deemed the rude ones. They don't even wanna be a part of Canada. The whole separatist movement and all. I think Dashhopes is from that area but I don't think he's one of those arrogant Quebecois, He's pretty cool on here.

Yep, the dreaded Quebecians as we call them. I like Dashhopes. Good person. Just to be fair, I would love for the majority of the southern states go to your city for the summer (all two weeks of it) every year so you can get an idea As for increasing the economy, yes it did for businesses but it priced the locals right out of their homes. Northerners came down and bought property at inflated prices and now the locals who don't make much money can't afford a home.

Thats exactly whats happening to Vancouver. Asian investers buying up all the property driving up prices. A modest 70's bungallow worth a million bucks? F**k that!. I've always wanted to move back to B.C. but they call it Bring Cash for a reason. Banff too. Spent time there as a youth, go back now it's f**kin mayhem!. Not the peacfull bliss it was 30 yrs ago.

Personally I'm the complete opposite I can handle 20 degrees in shorts and a t shirt all day but if it goes above 90 and it's any amount of humid you won't see me outside any time soon yes everyone thinks I'm crazy for wearing shorts and a t shirt in the winter

I'm originally from Arizona and now live in Florida and I always laugh at people in the Northern states saying it's hot in the South. No where in Gulf or Eastern shores is it hotter than Arizona in July and the "Dry Heat" comment is ridiculous. I can sit outside at noon in the Florida sun in summer. You won't do that for long in Arizona.

I agree, I'm from Georgia and i went to Flagstaff once. It was 102 there, much hotter feeling than 102 on Georgia.

It's basically like an oven. I always tell the people that "it's a dry heat" to turn their oven on to 120 then put their head in it for 8 hours. That's what it feels like in the AZ sun.

I'm in Austin Tx and its pretty weird here it's 89 instead of 110 outside and also it's cold but dry it's like 59 every day at winter and the weather is out of wonk becuz of the heavy rain and flooding
