They dont want free thinking individuals questioning authority and challenging the status quo, whats the answer? Drug em up and turn em into compliant, obedient little kids, lets not spend time with our kids to really find out whats going on with them and maybe look at things from their point of view, and work with them to find stable ground.

I agree with you. That is one of the reasons that we chose to Homeschool our kids. They have a ton of public school friends with negative self image issues and confused about what they are. My kids don't have every answer to life but they are a lot more grounded than their friends. My kids have almost ended up being like their psychologists and parents because they have no parent to go to to ask questions. If my kids aren't sure they will bring them to ask us. Now, half the neighborhood kids call us Mom and Dad. It;s kind of sad really....
