You don't have to accept something as good and healthy to not hate someone. I don't hate liars, thieves, or even adulterers. I believe each are a sin, and I also believe homosexuality is a sin. That doesn't mean we can't accept someone, make friends with them, invite them into our Churches etc. We are all born sinful, so when people claim Christians hate gays just because they believe it is wrong, it doesn't make sense. If Christians hated sinners, then they would hate everyone, even themselves. I think it's important for Christians to recognize that we are all sinners, and the Bible never claims that it is our job to judge others, but participating is where I would draw the line. I will not photograph a gay wedding, make a cake specially for a gay wedding, decorate a gay wedding etc. (Obviously I would have to think about it more if I actually had to make that decision) I might attend a gay wedding of a friend, but I can't say much more than that for sure. I also wouldn't visit a friend at a strip club, or go with a friend on a bank heist. It isn't hating the person, it's not participating in the sin they commit.
